Héctor Salvador (Lugo, 1983), pilot of submersibles, and Academic of the Royal Academy of the Sea, is the Director of Operations in Triton Submarines. He studied aeronautical engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and began his professional activity at the European Space Agency. In 2012 he decided to turn his career around and focus on ocean exploration.
Salvador has more than 1,800 dives in 20 different submersibles, including the recent dive to a depth of 10,706 meters in the Mariana Trench, becoming the first Spanish to visit the Hadal zone of our oceans.
