Science journalist and professor of Audiovisual Communication

Doctor in Communication, science journalist and professor at the University of Alicante.
Professional specialized in the dissemination of science and cultural heritage.

He has been a member of four scientific expeditions to Antarctica with the Spanish Institute of Oceanography, and has participated in marine research projects in the Philippines, Galapagos Islands, Mauritania, Tunisia, Virgin Islands, Turkey, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica and the Spanish coasts.

He has directed the Spanish Sea project of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and is director of the series La España Sumergida of TVE and Andalucía Submarina of Canal Sur Televisión.

He is a member of the scientific teams that have excavated the Albufereta I, Mazarrón 2 and Bou Ferrer underwater archaeological sites. He has been responsible for the management of the guided tours to the wreck Bou Ferrer of Villajoyosa, included in the register of Good Practices in Underwater Heritage of UNESCO.

Researcher at the University Institute for Research in Archaeology and Historical Heritage at the University of Alicante, lecturer on the Master’s in Virtual Heritage at the University of Alicante and on the Master’s in Nautical and Underwater Archaeology at the University of Cadiz.
