Marbella, September 19th 2023

One of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs and the global space industry is how Space can help solve the many and diverse problems faced by citizens on Earth. And the European Space Agency (ESA) has had a program, for several years now, called “ESA Space Solutions“, which will be presented at SUTUS by Les Roches, the leading event on space and underwater tourism, being held in Marbella from September 26-28.

Ambassador for Space Innovation

ESA’s Ambassador to the UK, Lucia F. de la Bella, will be in charge of explaining this innovative program to the international community.

“With ESA Space Solutions we are creating exciting opportunities for entrepreneurs and companies to make a quantum leap in using space to improve our lives. This promises an exciting future in which space technology will transform our daily reality and open new frontiers for innovation,” said de la Bella.

The idea is to “bring entrepreneurs from any sector closer to ESA and thus open up new business opportunities in an industry that is going a thousand miles an hour. We offer financing, personalized advice, access to investors and an international commercial network,” says the Spanish scientist, based in Portsmouth.

“My great motivation is also to serve as a bridge between the UK and the Spanish space sector,” says de la Bella, who has an outstanding track record in the space field and a bold vision for the future.

In this fourth edition of SUTUS by Les Roches, in addition to ESA, the space agencies of the United States (NASA), Japan (JAXA), Spain (ESA), Bahrain (NSSA) and Colombia (AEC), as well as the International Space University (ISU), the Swiss Space Tourism Association, the Space for a Better World Foundation and the International Lunar and Mars Exploration Working Group (ILEWG) are participating in SUTUS by Les Roches.
